About — Your Stone Office | Natural Stone Advisory & Project Management
About

Your California-based stone advisor. Your Asia-based project team.

Your Stone Office is a natural stone advisory and project management service — a trading name of The Meisei Company — built by someone who has spent two decades on the factory floor, not just in front of a computer.

Who You're Working With

Ken Lim, CEO & Founder.

Ken has spent more than 20 years inside the international natural stone industry — material sourcing, quarry and factory operations, fabrication, production management, quality control, packing, export and long-term client development. That's most of what appears throughout this site: it's drawn from projects he's actually worked, not a generic template of what a sourcing company is supposed to say.

Based in California, Ken works directly with U.S. contractors, distributors, designers and project owners to understand what a project actually needs, then coordinates the companies and teams in China, Vietnam and Cambodia that carry that work through material selection, fabrication and packing on site. The goal of that structure is simple: someone who understands the U.S. side of the conversation, and someone who's standing on the factory floor when it matters.

Why This Exists

Most sourcing problems aren't about finding a supplier.

U.S. buyers working with overseas stone suppliers often can't verify real capability, true material origin, or whether a quotation is even complete. And every material carries a different failure mode — natural stone varies by block and can't be defined by a single grading scale, the way a manufactured product can.

The real risk isn't sourcing a factory. It's understanding what the end buyer actually wants, converting that into standards a factory can execute and be inspected against, tracking production so problems get caught while they're still cheap to fix, verifying packing, and keeping every party aligned before the container ships. That's the work Your Stone Office exists to do — the eight-stage model on the How We Work page is how it's actually structured, project by project.

In The Room, Not Just In The Inbox

Real people, in real rooms.

Logos and memberships establish standing. What actually builds trust is being in the room — at the booth, in the showroom, on the factory floor — where a face and a handshake say more than a certificate can.

Standing In The Industry

Accountable to the same bodies our clients answer to.

Membership is not expertise. But it does mean being present where standards are set, where producers are met, and where the work is checked by peers rather than described on a website.

Coverings

The largest tile and stone event in North America — where U.S. importers, distributors and fabricators are met directly, on their own ground, rather than only by email.

China Xiamen International Stone Fair

One of the largest stone trade fairs globally — a working trip to see current material, meet producers, and track what's genuinely available versus what's only in a catalogue.

Marmomac, Verona

The reference point for European stone and fabrication technology — useful for benchmarking finish quality and machinery capability against what's available in Asia.

Where We Work

China, Vietnam and Cambodia — not a global claim we can't back up.

Your Stone Office currently covers sourcing and project management across China, Vietnam and Cambodia. That's a deliberate limit, not a modest one: it's the footprint where the team has real, on-the-ground execution capability — factory relationships, quality control presence, and people who can be on site within a day, not a week. Other countries can be discussed once local execution capability is confirmed, but we won't claim coverage we can't actually stand behind.

Before you place the order, put the right project controls in place.

Tell us what you need to source, where the project is located, and what support you need. Drawings, specifications and current supplier information help us give you a more useful first response.
