2. Nature of Our Services

Your Stone Office provides natural stone advisory, sourcing support and project management services. We are not a stone retailer or manufacturer, and we do not hold title to material at any point unless a specific engagement states otherwise. We coordinate between buyers and independent factories, fabricators and suppliers based in China, Vietnam and Cambodia.

3. Scope of Engagement

Our specific responsibilities, deliverables, exclusions and fees for any given project are defined in a written scope of service agreed before work begins, consistent with the engagement models described on this website. General descriptions on this website, including the eight-stage project model and the material-specific information on our Stone Expertise pages, describe our typical approach and are not themselves a contractual commitment for any specific project.

4. Natural Material Disclaimer

Natural stone varies in color, veining, texture and structural characteristics, including between pieces from the same block. Inspection and quality control reduce, but cannot eliminate, the risk of variation, natural fissures or other characteristics inherent to natural stone. Where a fissure, colour variation or similar characteristic is disclosed and accepted in writing, it is not considered a defect.

5. Third-Party Professionals

We are not a licensed structural engineer, architect, customs broker, freight forwarder, installer or attorney, and nothing on this website should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from those licensed professionals. Structural design, installation methods, waterproofing design, customs classification, and legal compliance remain the responsibility of the relevant licensed professional engaged by you or your project team, unless a specific written scope of service states that we are coordinating that function on your behalf.
